I want to try this service, but am afraid I'll get a lot of messages.
Don't worry. After you log in, you can choose to limit the number of messages you receive. Also, we are an OPT-IN/OPT-OUT service. You can stop receiving messages with one click of a button. SuddenDeals.com was built with the consumer in mind with a whole lot of control.
Would I be getting text messages day and night?
No. Sudden Deals only sends out messages from 8am CDT to 12am CDT. You may put a limit on when to stop receiving messages as well if 12am is too late for you.
Will I receive unexpected text messages throughout the year?
No. Unless you request to receive Sudden Deals for some span of time or on certain days of the week, we will only send you messages during the course of the day on which you logged in to your account.
Can I schedule to receive Sudden Deals on a later date?
Yes, you can schedule to receive Sudden Deals for up to 6 consecutive days. You can also choose specific days of the week to receive Sudden Deals. For example, you can say on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, send me Sudden Deals for Live Music and Restaurants.
Can I schedule to receive Sudden Deals only on certain days of the week?
Yes, within your Shopper account, you can setup specific days of the week for which you want to receive a certain category of Sudden Deals from a certain geographic location. For example, you can set it up so that Monday through Thursday, you receive Restaurant related Sudden Deals from Saint Paul, but Friday through Sunday, you want Music related Sudden Deals from Downtown Minneapolis.
How is this different from other similar services?
Most other services involve the customer texting a
keyword to a short code. EXAMPLE: "Text ACME
to 12345". Using this method, the customer
is "subscribing" to receive information from
ACME, and whenever ACME
wants to send out a message, they can do so. The customer has no control over when,
what kind, or how often they receive messages.
The only way to stop receiving messages is to opt-out
by texting the word STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT (every such service uses a different word that you need to remember) to the
same short code (12345 in this instance. Though we made up the actual code, the steps described are real.)
With SuddenDeals.com, things are a lot simpler! The customers have their own online account from which they manage which lists they belong to and when, as well as what kind of Sudden Deals they wish to receive. Opting-out is just as easy as Opting-in. One button click does it all.
No need to remember the correct word to text to the right code to get off the list. See the shopper account inside: Shopper Account Screenshot
